It is our deep joy at Personally Catholic to speak at parishes and invite Catholics into a more personal relationship with God. Entering a deeper relationship with the poor is a certain way to enter into a deeper relationship with God (Matthew 25:31-46). Showing Rescued from Darkness at your parish will lead your parishioners into that deeper relationship with the poor. It will also draw people who are not attending Mass.
We'd love to share this award winning Catholic film at your parish as well as share our film team's experience in Uganda. Dan Tarrant, the director of the film from Personally Catholic, and members of the nonprofit Building a Bridge to Uganda would love to come visit and speak with your community about a personal relationship with God and how that relationship can lead to amazing things like filming a documentary in Uganda.
We are happy to help you show the film in any parish meeting space you feel is appropriate. We are also happy speak before and after a showing of the film as well as take questions.
There is no cost for our visit. Supporting our nonprofits with through a free will offering from your parishioners is a welcome blessing, but our primary goal at your parish is sharing this story and building a deeper relationship with Christ, the poor and the international Catholic community.
Rescued from Darkness has been given countless film festival awards including awards from: Docs without Borders, the Christian World Arts Festival, the IMAFA Festival, Odyssey Fest and Cross Docs. It has played at Catholic colleges, high schools and grade schools (for grades 6 and up) as well as in local theaters.

Many parents ask if they can bring their children. We recommend the film for children in 6th grade and up. However, to make the decision easier for parents, here is the most violent scene from the film so parents can decide for themselves.
